The Treasures of Egypt tour offers a unique opportunity to explore the country’s most fascinating sites on alternative routes over a span of 12 days. Starting and ending in Cairo, you’ll begin with a visit to the awe-inspiring Pyramids of Giza – the only remaining wonder of the Seven Wonders of the World. From there, you’ll take a scenic drive through several destinations in Egypt, including Fayoum, El Minya, Amarna, Assuit, Abydousa, and Dandara. Experience a leisurely-paced adventure on the Salacia Nile Cruise, where you’ll sail along the world’s longest river, and disembark in Aswan for your return flight to Cairo.
Day 2 will begin with breakfast at the hotel, followed by a pyramid tour of the Great Pyramids of Giza, Valley Temple, Sphinx, and the Necropolis of Saqqara, including the Step Pyramid of King Zoser. Lunch will be served at a local restaurant and dinner will be enjoyed at a seafood restaurant on the Nile. Guests will spend the night in Cairo.
Day 3 guests will explore Cairo and its many mosques, starting with Al Darb Al Ahmar, the area south of Cairo’s city walls. They will visit the Salah El Din Citadel, the Alabaster Mosque of Mohamed Ali, the Sultan Hassan Mosque and Madrasa, and the Ahmed Ibn Tulun Mosque. Lunch will be served during the tour.
Day 4 will begin with an early departure from Cairo to Fayoum, where guests will visit Lake Qaroun and the National park of Wadi Rayan. They will have a picnic lunch before heading to El Minya, where they will check in to their hotel and have dinner.
On Day 5 guests will visit the Necropolis of Tuna El Gabal, including the crypts of baboons and Ibis that represent the god Thoth, the tomb of Isadora, the tomb of the priest Pet-osiers, the old water wheel and the boundary stele of the city of the Aton. They will then proceed to Al Ashmunien, the ancient city of Hermopolis, and the site of Beni Hasan. Overnight will be spent at the hotel in El Minya.
Day 6 will begin with a visit to Tell Al Amarna, the capital of Akhnaton, where guests will explore the city, the northern and southern tombs, the ruins of the palace and temples, and the royal tomb. They will then visit Al Muharraq Monastery in Assuit city, where the Holy Family stayed for 6 months and 10 days, before heading to Meir Village, a functioning cemetery for CSAE. Guests will spend the night in Abydos.
Day 7: Abydos, Dandara & Luxor Begin your day by visiting Fortress Shonet El Zebeeb, the oldest building in Egyptian history, followed by the beautiful Temple of Seti I, considered one of the most exquisite temples in Egypt. This temple boasts stunningly colored high reliefs, and the Abydos King List, which showcases the cartouche names of many dynastic pharaohs from the first ruler, Narmer or Menes, until Ramses II.
Enjoy a delightful lunch before heading to the Dandara temple complex, where you’ll visit the Hatour Temple dedicated to the goddess of love, music, and dance. Take your time exploring the temple elements, the decorated ceiling adorned with beautiful colored astronomical drawings, the replica of the Egyptian Zodiac, and the crypts. End your day in Luxor.

Day 8: Embarking Your Nile Cruise in Luxor After breakfast, transfer to your Nile Cruise before lunch. Enjoy a delicious meal on board before heading to the East Bank to visit the Temples of Luxor and Karnak. Indulge in a sumptuous dinner while cruising the Nile.

Day 9: Visiting West Bank & Sailing to Edfu After breakfast, visit the West Bank and explore the Valley of the Kings and the Temple of Queen Hatshepsut. Sail to Edfu via Esna, and enjoy a delightful lunch on board. Relax with afternoon tea and take in the scenic views as you sail to Edfu. End the day with dinner on board.

Relax with afternoon tea as you sail to Kom Ombo and visit the Temple of Kom Ombo, dedicated to the gods Sobek and Haeroris. Sail to Aswan and enjoy a delectable dinner on board.
