Farafra: White Desert Photography Expedition

Smaller and quieter than neighboring Bahariya, Farafra puts you within a short drive of the White Desert's strangest chalk formations — wind-eroded shapes locals have nicknamed the Mushroom, the Chicken, and the Sphinx. Camp two nights among them to catch both sunset and sunrise light, when the rock turns shades of pink no midday visit ever sees, then cool off in Bir Sitta's natural spring pool on the way back.
